Keep Moving on.

Dream comes ture!

生活稍微安穩卻又擔心太安逸,

keep your head up!

No matter how hard I have worked during the past one year, things still come to a term worse than I would like to see...

One more month ahead, keep calm and carry on. I will never give up.

Fatigue

I am tired of facing similar things.

Maybe it is a better idea to just be alone.

Made a determination, and I hope I never look back.

Down, down, and where is up?

I feel like I am in the same position again- trapped, reluctant, and losing my direction.

It has been three months since last time I drew lines on this blog. However, nothing has advanced, and I am still unemployed. Worst of all, my internship is not going to turn to a job, and I do not have much time left in the states.

I am so afraid that I am going to lose my life, and it seems like I am powerless to do anything, and the time is not on my side.

Lost Forest

Once again, you find me in the forest that gets me lost all the time.

2AMYS: Neapolitan Pizzeria

I went to 2AMYS Pizzeria nearby my place in DC last night with my roommates and friends. This restaurant is always filled up by people whenever I pass by its door. After staying in this neighborhood for 2 years, I finally decide to visit 2AMYS.

My interest in Italian food started from my senior year at college. I took an Italian language course and met an Italian professor, also a great cook. The class provided me not only the language but also the beauty and knowledge of Italian cuisine. Twice every semester, the whole class gathered at the prof's kitchen filling with professional cookware, and we learned the tactics to cooking different types of pasta/spaghetti and to using herbs and olive oil in sauce. I sliced the first piece of prosciutto in my life, and tasting espresso cafe made by Brrika on stove but not by espresso machine. I always remember we drank a glass of wine with appetizers(normally, these were combination of smoked ham, cheese, and herb). The cooking and dining experience is just so different from Chinese style I'm born to know. Beyond just a fresh feeling, I am fond of the way Italian processes food as to unlock the potentials of natural ingredients.

This pizzeria really reminds me of the old times.

The restaurant attaches a wine bar. In the left picture, strings of smoked meat are hanged on the wall. The bar provided "small plates" like goat cheese and olives with wine. Behind the bar, the owner chats with customers when serving these small plates. All these little things look so familiar to me because I tried them first time in my Italian class while waiting for pasta in pot to be cooked thoroughly. It was, however, a pity that we did not have a tiny happy hour before our dinner last night.

We ordered four starters, two pizza, one salad, and couples of soft drinks. When looking around, I was astonished that most people finished a whole complete pizza individually plus starters and dessert. This fact made our group look weird because we six people only ordered two pizza... (Honestly, I also didn't think any of us could eat a whole pizza on his/er own.)

The four starters (in wise-clock sequence) included potato frittata, risotto ball w mozzarella, orange salad, and deviled egg with green sauce. The risotto ball seemed like the must-order in this restaurant because every table has at least one plate of this dish. We even saw a group of six people order a plate for each persons. Apparently, we cannot miss it!!
The risotto ball really tasted great. The surface was crunchy, but risotto and cheese inside were surprisingly tender and juicy. To make this texture, the cook must control the deep-fried (or baking?) time very well.

Talking of pizza, I was so busy with cutting and distributing slices, so I forgot taking photo of them. (It is really stupid because pizza is supposed to be the main attraction of this dinner.) We ordered a Margherita and a Ripieno Extra. The former one is a traditional flavor comprising tomato, mozzarella di bufala, and basil, the latter one is the mix of smoked meat including salami, prosciutto, pancetta. It is hard for me to tell which one tastes better due to the ingredients of both pizza are so distinct from each other.

It is very exciting that a nice restaurant is just by my place for only 5 min walking distance. The next time I will prepare to have a bottle of wine, couples of small plates, and friends there to enjoy good times.

Test

This is the first post to test the layout and the length of main wrapper at the right column. Finally set up the HTML code. Couples of environment setting tasks are needed to be done.
